The Bridge was scheduled to be opened at the end of March. Prior to opening Lanark County tested the bridge by driving a large truck over. The bride PASSED!!!
Unfortunately this was done at the high point of spring runoff and there was a large amount of water flowing through the causeway. Those of us who know the bridge know that this is normal but for the County this is a concern.
Now that the runoff has subsided some members for Friends of Andrewsville Bridge were able to get some pictures as well as do some cleanup on the upstream side of the causeway.
It Appears to us that the Stacked Stone Causeway is in good shape althought it would benefit from some maintenance and perhaps some annual cleanup on the upstream side
